Tips for getting to the Venue

1. Please download offline maps of the area surrounding Tellico Plains. The cell signal on the mountain is spotty at best. The venue does have a guest wifi. 2. There are two roads up to the venue. Both are curvy, so please be extremely careful. Directions for the better of the two roads (the GPS will probably take you the other way, so beware) Moonshine Manor Events 366 Shaw Mountain Road, Tellico Plains, TN 37385 Directions from Tellico (15.99 miles) From New HWY 68 / TN 68 Turn left onto Cherohala Skyway/TN 165 - 13.98 miles Turn left onto Miller’s Chapel Road - 0.21 miles Turn left onto Turkey Creek Road - 0.34 miles Turn right onto Shaw Mountain Road - 1.46 miles Destination is on the left 3. You will want to build in some extra time in your travel plan because you will likely be driving slower than expected up the mountain roads. If you follow the GPS, the road is gravel in some places and is very narrow and curvy the whole way from Tellico.

What time should I arrive?

Please make plans to arrive by 3:15 pm EST. The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm EST.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Our venue recommended these places. They are about 20 minutes away from the venue. Cabins and hotels: The Lodge at Tellico- https://lodgeattellico.com/ Tellico Inn- https://tellicoplainsinn.com/ Mountain View Cabin Rentals- https://www.tellicologcabins.com/ Beyond these accommodations, there are more hotels in Athens, Cleveland, Maryville, or Knoxville (each city is 1 to 1.5 hours from the venue).

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our venue has limited capacity, so we ask that you not bring any additional guests. If we have included a plus one for you in the guest count, it will be on your invitation.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in your Sunday best (business casual). Suits and ties are not required for guests. Please remember that the venue is on a mountain. The walk from the ceremony to the reception will be partially uphill. There is also an outdoor area with grass, so please choose footwear wisely.

Is there free parking?

Answer

Yep! There's plenty of free parking at the venue. The ceremony is across the road from the reception. There are two parking lots, one on either side of the venue entrance.

Where is the nearest airport?

Answer

The nearest commercial airport is McGhee Tyson (TYS) in Alcoa (Knoxville). It is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the venue.
