FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jessica Giangrande and Joseph Roman
Question

Do I have to stay at Casa de Campo?

Answer

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Yes. Guests attending our wedding events must stay on the property and book through our secured room block. Bookings made on third-party sites (AirBnB, VRBO, etc) or directly with the hotel will not be considered part of the wedding group. A 3-night minimum stay is required. All accommodations in room block are all-inclusive and include a golf cart to explore the property. Airport transfers are also included in your room reservation. Room inventory is not live, availability is subject to confirmation.

Question

How do Room reservations work?

Answer

Room rates are quoted on a per-person, per-night basis and include Casa de Campo's all-inclusive plan. Sharing a room with additional guests will reduce the cost per person.

Question

When should I book my room?

Answer

ASAP! Room categories and additional nights are subject to availability, so we strongly encourage guests to book as early as possible! However, the deadline to book within our room block is June 4, 2027.

Question

When should i arrive to the resort?

Answer

We recommend arriving on Wednesday, November 17, or Thursday, November 18, and departing on Sunday, November 21, to enjoy the full wedding weekend experience. Arriving a day or two before the festivities also provides a buffer in the event of travel delays. We understand that a longer stay may not be feasible for everyone, and guests are welcome to arrive on Thursday and still enjoy all of the planned wedding celebrations.

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport to the resort is La Romana International Airport (LRM). However, Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is the larger and busier airport in the area, and Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) is another option. If your city doesn’t offer direct flights to La Romana, flying into Punta Cana or Santo Domingo is a great alternative.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, a valid passport is necessary for entry into the Dominican Republic. We recommend ensuring your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates and checking expiration dates well in advance of the wedding. Please ensure passport is valid through June 2028 or later.

Question

Is a Tourist Card or visa required?

Answer

No, a Tourist Card or visa is not required to enter the Dominican Republic. However, all travelers must complete an electronic entry and exit form (E-Ticket) before arrival and departure. You can find that here: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/

Question

Should I purchase travel insurance?

Answer

Absolutely, and we highly recommend it. Travel insurance can protect you against trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, and other unexpected travel disruptions. Our travel team can walk you through your options so you can travel with peace of mind.

Question

Who should I contact about booking or travel?

Answer

Contact our dedicated Travel Agent, Carol, at guests@ourdestinationweddings.com or (844) 568-3639.

Question

Are meals and drinks included?

Answer

Heck yeah they are! The all inclusive package has your meals, drinks, select activities, and golf cart covered. Your only responsibilities are showing up, looking fabulous, and keeping track of where you parked your golf cart.

Question

How will I get around the resort?

Answer

Casa de Campo is more than just a resort - it's a 7,000-acre tropical paradise with beautiful beaches, restaurants, golf courses, a marina, shopping, and countless places to explore. Because the resort is so expansive, every room booked within our room block includes a complimentary golf cart, making it easy and fun to get around during your stay! Wedding-event shuttles will be provided to and from the festivities on the big day!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Although we can't predict the weather, we will be hoping (hiring an Etsy witch?) for a beautiful sunny day with no rain! November is typically warm and sunny but can bring brief tropical showers from time to time. Here are the averages for November in La Romana, Dominican Republic: Daytime highs: approximately 84–88°F Evening lows: approximately 73–76°F Ocean Temperature: 84°F

Question

What should i wear to the welcome party

Answer

We kindly ask all guests to wear white attire for the Welcome Party on Thursday evening. Think elegant resort wear, linen, flowy dresses, and polished vacation looks.

Question

What should i wear to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding attire is Formal. Ladies: Floor-length gowns, formal maxi dresses, or elegant midi-length dresses are encourages. Gentlemen: Suits and ties, or tuxedos are welcome. Lightweight fabrics are recommended for the tropical setting. We kindly ask that guests to avoid shorts, flip-flops, or athletic sneakers.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony is currently planned to take place inside St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church of the Altos de Chavón. Cocktail hour will be outside, and our reception will be held outdoors under an open air terrace overlooking the Dye Fore Golf Course.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate the guests specifically named on each invitation. If a guest is included, that option will appear when you RSVP.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we absolutely adore your little ones, our Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception will be adults-only, with the exception of the children of our wedding party. Some of our guests have chosen to travel with family members to assist with childcare during the adults-only wedding events. Professional Daytime and Evening babysitting services are available through the resort for those who would like them. Reservations for nannies must be made 24 hours in advance and are available for an additional fee. We understand that traveling for a destination wedding is a special commitment, and we truly appreciate your understanding. We look forward to celebrating with you and your loved ones in paradise!
