St. Maria Goretti Novena
St. Maria Goretti is Grace's Confirmation Saint! At the age of eleven, Maria was martyred by a young man when she refused his sexual advances. Although he stabbed her fourteen times, she forgave him as she died. In our relationship, we feel that God will call us to the same uncompromising commitment to our faith and our morals even in the face of adversity. Please pray with us for the following intention: the courage to stand by Christ the bridegroom in the midst of trials.
St. Thérèse Novena
St. Thérèse is Joseph’s confirmation saint! When he was in 8th grade, he tried to be different by choosing a female saint. Little did he know that it was she who was choosing him to be her little brother. Her “Little Way” has taught both of us to receive the love of God and to love Him in return as little children. Please pray with us for the following intention: confident trust in the love God has for both of us and for each of our future children.
Pope Saint John Paul II Novena
Pope St. John Paul II has been present in our relationship since the beginning. When we did Totus Tuus together in 2021, we chose JPII to be the patron saint of our team and he has been interceding for us in big ways since. Specifically, his teachings in Theology of the Body and his view of the human person have helped us form our relationship. We even got engaged on his feast day, October 22nd! Please pray with us for the following intention: purity of heart - the ability to perceive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within each other and within those that we encounter.
Mary the Mother of God Novena
Having met doing Totus Tuus together, our relationship has always been impacted and led by the Blessed Mother. In both our lives and within our relationship, Mary has given us lots of graces. Her intercession is one that we heavily rely on to guide us as we prepare for marriage. Please pray with us for the following intention: the courage to say yes to whatever the Lord calls us to.
