𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥!

It all started at the end of 2018, when all of Arizona was preparing for the International Convention in Phoenix. They were just going to Mariachi practice at brother Melgosa's house, the Mariachi group headquarters. Joseph was recruited to play the guitar and Gizelle had auditioned to play the violin. They would meet twice a week to practice all the way till the date of the convention. Their performances were going to start at the first week of August 2019. They were both happy with being single, but little did they know what would later happen. They became friends, but they realized there was something more. There was many opportunities to get to know each other and observe one another. Todo comenzó a fines de 2018 cuando todo Arizona se estaba preparando para la Asamblea Internacional en Phoenix. Gizelle y Joseph practicaban con el grupo de Mariachi en la casa del hermano Melgosa. Joseph fue reclutado para tocar la guitarra y Gizelle había hecho una audición para tocar el violín. Se reunían dos veces por semana para practicar hasta la fecha de la Asamblea. Sus actuaciones iban a empezar la primera semana de agosto 2019. Ambos estaban felices de estar solteros, pero poco sabían lo que sucedería más tarde. Se hicieron amigos pero se dieron cuenta de que había algo más. Hubo muchas oportunidades para conoserse.

Awaiting the convention and performing as Mariachis, Joseph devised a plan to ask Gizelle to be his girlfriend. After loving her in silence for many months, it was time to take action before it was too late. They met at a local coffee shop and declared their love for each other over coffee and sweet potatoe fries. A la espera de la Asamblea para tocar con el Mariachi, Joseph ideó un plan para pedirle a Gizelle que fuera su novia. Después de amarla en silencio durante muchos meses, llegó el momento de actuar antes de que fuera demasiado tarde. Joseph knew he wanted to propose but didn't know how he wanted to do it. Then it happened!! Gizelle won a photoshoot giveaway on Instagram. Now the ideas started to fall into place. He found the right ring, met secretly with Cesar and Elizabeth, Gizelle's parents, to ask for their blessing. He asked them on a Wednesday and he was to propose on Saturday of the same week. He then got in contact with Kevin, the photographer, and made a plan for a surprise grand finale. They moved from place to place to get the right lighting and get the right shot. Gizelle said to Joseph: "what's in your pocket?" Not knowing it was the box in which the ring was enclosed. Getting ever so close to the right moment, Joseph's heart began to beat fast and Gizelle felt it along with the look in his eyes. It was time! To that, Kevin said: "Joseph I want you to do a different pose. Kneel down on one knee. Go ahead and take out the ring". In that moment, Joseph takes out the box, opens it, and the ring falls out. He then pulls it out of the leaves, gets back down on one knee and begins to look into Gizelle's eyes. In the meantime.... He hasn't said a word. Gizelle says "LOCO!" Waiting for him to say something. He finally pops the question! Gizelle says "yes" and hugs him before he can even stand up. He makes sure the ring is secure and then hugs her back. The family comes in and congratulates them and greets them with big hugs and much love...

Joseph sabía que le quería proponer matrimonio a Gizelle, pero no sabía cómo hacerlo. ¡Entonces sucedió! Gizelle ganó un sorteo de sesiones de fotos en Instagram y a Joseph le empezaron a llegar las ideas. Encontró el anillo perfecto, se reunió en secreto con Cesar y Elizabeth, padres de Gizelle, para pedirles su bendición. Les preguntó un miércoles, y el quería proponerle matrimonio el sábado de la misma semana. Luego se puso en contacto con Kevin, el fotógrafo, e hizo un plan para tener una gran sorpresa al terminar la seción de fotos. Se movieron de un lugar a otro para obtener la iluminación adecuada y realizar la toma perfecta. Gizelle le dijo a Joseph: "¿Qué hay en tu bolsillo". Sin saber que era la caja en la que estaba el anillo. Acercándose cada vez más al momento adecuado, el corazón de Joseph comenzó a latir rápido y Gizelle lo sintió junto con la mirada en sus ojos. ¡Había llegado la hora! Kevin dijo: "Joseph, quiero que hagas una pose diferente. Arrodíllate sobre una rodilla y saca el anillo". En ese momento, Joseph saca la caja, la abre y el anillo se cae. Luego lo saca de las hojas, vuelve a arrodillarse y comienza a mirar a los ojos de Gizelle. Mientras tanto ... no ha dicho una sola palabra. Gizelle dice "¡LOCO!" Esperando que él dijera algo. ¡Finalmente le hace la pregunta tan esperada! Gizelle dice "sí" y lo abraza antes de que él pueda levantarse. Joseph se asegura de que el anillo esté seguro en la cajita y luego la abraza de vuelta. La familia entra y los felicita y los saluda con grandes abrazos con mucho cariño y amor ...

In the meantime, Jailene, Gizelle's sister, devised a plan of her own. "I want to help make this day extra special. She is my only sister after all", she said. Back at the Ortega household, Jailene began setting up a nice scene with a combination of classy, fancy, and elegant decorations. Jailene at first, had the help of Joseph and Tanya, Joseph's mom, and her parents at different times in order to avoid suspicion. They even had to lie to Gizelle, but for a worthy cause. After the photoshoot, Gizelle's only expectations were a bonfire and some abuelita hot chocolate. Gizelle thought the astonishments had come to a conclusion. Little did she know!... As they were leaving Mt Lemmon, they would return to the Ortega home and enjoy a special meal amongst the two families. It became "the perfect night" for the two, as they were together with the ones they loved to share in this momentous occasion. Mientras tanto, Jailene, hermana de Gizelle, ideó un plan propio. "Quiero ayudar a que este día sea muy especial, después de todo, ella es mi única hermana", dijo. Mientras tanto en la casa de la familia Ortega, se comenzó a montar una esena agradable con decoración elegante. Al principio, Jailene contó con la ayuda de Joseph y Tanya, mamá de Joseph, y de sus padres en diferentes momentos para evitar sospechas. Incluso, tuvieron que mentirle a Gizelle, pero por una buena causa. Tras la sesión de fotos, las únicas expectativas de Gizelle eran una fogata y un poco de chocolate caliente abuelita. Gizelle pensó que el asombro había llegado a su fin. ¡Poco sabía ella! ... Cuando salían de Mt Lemmon, regresarían a la casa de los Ortega y disfrutarían de una comida especial entre las dos familias. Se convirtió en "la noche perfecta" para los dos, ya que estaban juntos con sus seres queridos para compartir en esta ocasión tan significativa.
