Q: Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?

Answer

A: We both LOVE to travel especially to the beach and Jamaica is our favorite place to travel, so we figured…”why not get married in JA and give everyone a chance to vacation and enjoy it with us”.

Q: Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

A: Of course! We highly recommend bringing at least a plus one due to the fact the room accommodation rates are based on double occupancy.

Q: Are children allowed to attend?

Answer

A: We decided to have our wedding at Riu Ocho Rios which is a family friendly resort. We want to allow all our family and friends to come join us and celebrate. The resort is family friendly and accommodations for children are available.

Q: When are you traveling?

Answer

A: We depart May 11, 2020 and return on May 18, 2020.

Q: Will bride and groom be available to assist with questions the weekend of the wedding?

Answer

A: A point of contact will be given and a itinerary at a later day.

Q: How do I book?

Answer

A: Two options: You can call our wedding planner Erica at (404) 937-0881 to book or you can send her an email to eclasselite@gmail.com requesting a quote. Please reference Ginny and Joseph Wedding in subject line when requesting via email. Please allow 24 to 48 hours turnaround time.

Q: When should I book my reservation?

Answer

A: ASAP! The further out you book, prices are reasonably lower, the closer it gets to travel dates prices are much higher. Please keep in mind prices are subject to change and in order to take advantage of lowest possible rates as well as avoid any price changes, please pay the deposit to lock in your rate at your earliest convenience.

Q: What if I want to stay at a different resort or have timeshare elsewhere?

Answer

A: Yes, you have the option to stay at a different resort. RIU does, however, charge a fee for a guest day pass. Please contact wedding planner so that necessary accommodations can be made.

Q: Should I purchase travel insurance?

Answer

A: Yes, Yes, Yes! Please purchase travel insurance with all-inclusive packages this protects you in a case you need to cancel for any reason. Depending on which travel protection plan you purchase you will receive a voucher or full refund in the original form of payment.

Q: When do I need to be paid in full?

Answer

A: Generally, most reservations need to be paid in full 60 days before departure. Payment for certain airfare does need to be paid in full at the time of the reservation. Please contact our wedding planner to receive more information on current flight availability, costs, and payment schedules.

Q: Can I book airfare separately and only book the hotel stay?

Answer

A: Yes, when booked separately airfare normally paid in full at the time of booking. Please see accommodations page for rates for hotel only stay. Please contact travel consultant for more details.

Q: When should I request my passport?

Answer

A: Immediately, we highly recommended you purchase your passport first before booking a travel package. Passports can be denied and we do not want anyone to miss out. Name on passport should match the name at the time of booking.

Q: My Passport expire within 6 months of May 15, 2020?

Answer

A: Six Month Validity Passport Rule. ... As a general rule, passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally. Most countries will not permit a traveler to enter their country unless the passport is set to expire at least six months after the final day of travel.

Q: Do you have wedding registry?

Answer

A: We are currently working on deciding and finalizing our wedding registry, once available we will be sure to update the website with any and all information regarding our wedding registry.

Q: Will dietary restrictions be taken into consideration at the resort and wedding festivities?

Answer

A: Absoluetly, if guests have dietary restrictions, we kindly ask that they let the wedding planner know as soon as possible. To take it a step further, guests also should make a note of their restrictions when they check into the resort. Often times, the resort appreciates having the ability to go above and beyond for guests in any way they can.

Q: What are the plans leading up to the wedding day?

Answer

A: We will have a cocktail hour for all guest the evening before the wedding. Details will be provided in Itinerary at a later date regarding additional plans and activities for time leading up to as well as after the wedding.

Q: What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

A: Average Weather in May in Ocho Rios Jamaica. Daily high temperatures are around 86°F, rarely falling below 83°F or exceeding 88°F. Daily low temperatures are around 77°F, rarely falling below 74°F or exceeding 80°F

Q: Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

A: The ceremony will be held outdoors on the beach and the reception dinner will be held in a semi-private area at the resort specialty restaurant.

Q: What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

A: Contact wedding planner immediately! This is when your travel insurance will be your lifesaver. You may lose insurance portion but you will receive a refund in a voucher or original form of payment depending on which insurance plan you purchased.

Q: What is the closet Airport in Jamaica?

Answer

A: All guest will arrive in Montego Bay, Jamaica and will be transported to Riu Ocho Rios this will be 1.5 hour drive.

Q: Will transportation be provided between to/from the airport?

Answer

A: Round-Trip transportation will be added to all-inclusive travel packages. If you have a hotel only accommodation, please contact the wedding planner to purchase round trip transportation from the airport to Riu Ocho Rios.

Q: When should I arrive at Ocho Rios?

Answer

A: We highly recommend you arrive a day before the wedding to avoid any trip delays or anything other issues they may come up.

Q: When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

A: March 15, 2020- We prefer all guest to RSVP on our wedding website. However, you can mail RSVP respond card to us. If you need to cancel please update your RSVP as soon as possible.
