$28 or $45 depending on length By far one of the best things for anyone who hasn’t been to Chicago before. Great way to see and learn about the city, AND... there is a bar on board!
Basically a bar crawl in the middle of downtown. Enter under any bridge from Michigan Ave to Orleans St. Can drink at a Tiki Bar, a German Beer Garden and a Winery all in the same day. Tons of great food and excellent patios. Tiny Tapp is a good place to start!
Probably our favorite place for date night. Sit on the patio by the Ogden Slip and try the Cali italia!
If you have not been to Wrigley Field, it's a must. Tickets might be a little more expensive this homestand since they are playing the Cardinals. But bleacher tickets shouldn't be too bad. If you don't want to pay for tickets, you can enjoy the energy of the game from the many bars around Wrigleyville
If you are in town earlier in the week, you can go see the source of Joe's Summer Heartaches. The tickets are sure to be cheap because they stink. But the food & drinks at the stadium are excellent.
There is nothing we enjoy more than our lake! Walk or Bike the seemingly endless trail and stop at one of the many beachside bars, jump into a game of volleyball then cool off in the lake!
This is NOT a suggestion to go shopping. If you want a true Chicago experience, take the Red line to the Lake Stop, follow signs for the Pedway and go find the $4 Beers at Macy's and walk to your next destination. (Open carry is only slightly illegal, you'll be fine!) Also, the Macy's is pretty cool - can get a nice cocktail at the Walnut room or drink your $4 beer under the Tiffany Mosaic Ceiling
World class free zoo right in the middle of Lincoln Park!
This historic movie theater, built in 1929, is one of our favorite spots for date night. You can often catch popular movies in 70mm and in the summer they have movie nights in their garden.
Chicago is home to some of the finest museums in the world and they are all a short distance from the hotel including the brand new Obama Presidential Library.
