Diamond and Joseph met in August of 2012 during welcome week on the campus of Illinois State University. Classes had not even began yet but the two crossed paths while walking through campus. Joseph was walking with two of his guy friends, Jarrod (Best Man) and Trell (Groomsmen) and Diamond was walking with two of her girlfriends at the time who all attended the same high school with Trell. Although it was only small talk, it wasn't long before Joseph was knocking on Diamond's dorm room door asking to take her out. And the rest was history...
