Danielle and Joe’s story began when they worked together in 2012. With offices across the hall from one another, the two didn’t need fancy apps, or really much game at all, to fall for each other. They became best buds at work and started dating soon after, but worked hard to keep their office romance under wraps. That is, until Joe finally gathered the courage and announced their relationship at the holiday party that year. Everyone shrugged, noted it had been obvious, and said they couldn’t care less anyway. Nonetheless, the two were officially official! As their relationship flourished, so did their hobbies and interests. The two became culinary experts in 1000 versions of veggie stir fry, enjoyed the New England outdoors, and mastered the art of living the Somerville hipster lifestyle. Their focus on sustainability is what really sealed the deal, but we’ll save that for later (foreshadowing). They soon moved in together, went to the shelter to "just see" and came home with Basil, their spice of life, a puppy with a thousand times the energy of any normal canine. In 2017, The Three Musketeers continued their adventure by packing their Prius with two tiny backpacks, two reusable water bottles, and an 8 ft dog bed full of blankets and toys for their trip out to Denver. #TransplantingBasil if you missed it. Now Rocky Mountain High, Danielle, Joe and Basil planned their mutual engagement. The three got engaged on top of their first 14er and read each other cards that they had written (Basil’s was dictated, not read). Knowing they needed a venue to reflect their values (payoff of the foreshadowing), they found the perfect environmentally-friendly place at Round the Bend Farm. While most venues (and frankly, family and friends) were very confused about vegan food or sourcing locally, Round the Bend basically wrote the book on green weddings. Danielle and Joe can’t wait to share this special day with all their favorite people!
