When Bre and Joe first met at a church picnic in the summer of 2018, Joe had been dubbed the "long-haired hippy" by his friend. Needless to say, this long hair and clean-shaven face led Bre to believe that he was 18 years old. After platonically bantering through the picnic, Joe scored Bre's number without even trying--everyone in the group of 20-somethings was exchanging digits. After receiving a Facebook friend request from Joe later that evening, Bre discovered he was not, in fact, 18--but well within the socially acceptable flirting age bracket. Despite this discovery, Bre continued to banter in good faith, never suspecting any romantic intentions when Joe asked her to coffee later that week. After spending 4 hours on this "date-not-date," Joe texted Bre to ask her to dinner. But Bre never got the message! There was a cell phone reception outage for the next two days, which neither one was aware of until Joe called Bre--seemingly out of the blue--to ask her to dinner again. Imagine his surprise when the girl he thought was ghosting him for the past 48 hours accepted without delay. After the first date of sushi and star-gazing, the two were inseparable. Summer lovin' had them a blast and happened so fast, and now they'll always be like one.
