Joey and I met during our RUF's annual trip down to Panama City, FL for Summer Conference! Joey intentionally made sure to speak to me throughout the trip (which I thought was great because he was super sweet and had the best smile). He was not even put off by the huge book (IT by Steven King, highly recommend reading it in a public place to make someone fall in love with you!) I had brought with me to read on the beach. We met up again at a mutual friend's wedding a few weeks later and got to hang out even more and talk about our lives. When we were leaving the wedding, we even made sure to specifically tell the other goodbye and give each other a hug! When school started back up in August, Joey and I started texting each other and eventually meeting up to hang out and go on walks every day. In September, we rode down to RUF's Fall Conference together with some friends, and we spent an enormous amount of time together that weekend. The Sunday we got back, Joey invited me to go see a movie with him (IT Chapter 2, again thanks Steven King for being the best wingman). A few days later, Joey asked me out officially, and our first date lasted 10 hours because both of us were having such a great time! We became each other's best friend, favorite person, and love all wrapped up into one over the time we have spent dating and doing life together! We are very excited for May 14th and cannot wait to celebrate our love and the start of our new lives together with all of you!
