Ashley was an intern at the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in 2018 and continued to volunteer there until 2021. She gave public presentations with live animals, ranging from the Peregrine Falcon pictured above to porcupines. She cared for the many animals on exhibit there, ranging from mountain lions to black bears to bald eagles. The people and animals there have always held a special place in her heart, so when thinking of an outdoor venue, the Science Center was a no-brainer.
Technically yes - the Gardens are along US Route 3, right before you would turn onto Route 113 to enter the Science Center.
Yep! We're planning on having a short ceremony, but after that it will just be a party with appetizers, an open bar, a dessert food truck, and plenty of yard games to keep us all entertained. You can stay for as long or as little as you'd like.
Yes, and we highly encourage you to do so, especially if you're bringing kids along! Children under 2 years old get in for free, otherwise for adults it's $26 to enter and children are $20. The Science Center is unique because all the animals are native to New England, and the trail to see them is like taking a walk in the woods. It's a 3 quarter mile trail that is estimated to take 2 1/2 hours to walk. There is also a large playground the kids will love.
As much as you want! If you'd like to wear a fun hat and floral getup, that'd be great! But otherwise don't stress about dressing to that theme - we want you to be comfortable more than anything.
