Our Love Story

His POV

Ah yes—the tale as old as time: Boy swipes right. Girl also swipes right. Algorithms declare it a match made in Bumble heaven. And just like that, the greatest love story of 2024 began. Or, at least, the greatest story involving fitness, pizza, multiple state lines, and one extremely dramatic dog. We met in Connecticut, where sparks flew over deep conversations like, “What’s your deadlift PR?” and “What's your favorite pizza?" Early dates were spent doing very normal things—like taking unnecessarily intense hikes and eating an irresponsible amount of pizza immediately afterward. She thought I was charming. I thought she was out of my league. Somehow, I tricked her into keeping me around. Then came The Great Migration—chasing job opportunities, adventure, and the elusive goal of not having to share one dresser drawer. Through it all, one constant remained: our dog, Nitro. He's a Staffy-pit mix with the heart of a lion and the emotional range of a soap opera actor. He’s convinced he’s in charge. He’s not wrong. Fast forward to February 2025. I had a plan. A ring. And a vague idea of how cold Quebec City is in winter. At the historic Château Frontenac (fancy, I know), I got down on one knee—half from nerves, half because my quads were frozen—and asked her to spend forever with me. Spoiler alert: She said yes. So here we are—planning a wedding, trying to agree on a first dance song, and figuring out how to politely explain that Nitro he will, in fact, not be part of the ceremony. We can't wait to celebrate with you

Her POV

It all began with a swipe. There I was, scrolling through Bumble for probably the fifth time that day, still holding out hope that somewhere out there was my Bryan MacKenzie to match my Annie Banks—yes, that “Father of the Bride” reference. And then, there he was: Joseph. Now, I’d love to say the rest is history, but not before a little detour—he cancelled our first date (and no, he will never live that down). But fate had other plans. Our rescheduled date at First and Last Tavern turned out to be more than just a meal—it was the start of our last first date ever. Since then, our love has grown through countless shared laughs, late-night pizza runs drowned in way too much ranch dressing, and spontaneous adventures all across New England—like the time we almost lost our dog Nitro in the Northern Maine woods. (Don't worry, he made it back!) But our biggest adventure yet? A trip to Quebec City, where Joseph got down on one knee at the fairytale-like Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. With tears in my eyes, I said yes to forever. What makes us us isn’t just the romance—it’s the friendship, the constant laughter, and the endless banter that keeps every moment light and full of joy. We cannot wait to share our love—and this next chapter of our fairytale—with you on our wedding day.

Nitro’s POV

Hi everyone. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Nitro. Yes, that Nitro—the handsome, muscular, emotionally available Staffordshire Terrier/Pitty mix with a heart of gold and a mild addiction to my Kongs. Today, I’m honored—truly honored—to bark a few words about my two humans tying the knot. They met the modern way: Bumble. That’s right—love at first swipe. I imagine it went something like: "She likes dogs!" Swipe right. "He looks like he could carry a pizza and a puppy at the same time." Swipe right. And just like that, destiny. Or at least, data-driven algorithms. Their early dates were simple. Laughter. Long walks. And the holy grail: Red Rose Pizza. I still remember the first time I smelled that box. I thought, “Wow, these two really are in love. Because no one shares their crusts like that unless it’s serious.” At first, things were cozy in Connecticut. I had a couch, they had each other, life was good. Then came the announcement: “We’re moving to Maine!” Maine life was wild. Long walks on icy sand. Car rides to Hannaford where I’d supervise from the backseat like the responsible grocery captain I am. And then—the woods incident. Let’s just say someone (I’m not naming names… Mom) thought it would be ok with me sniffing every plant on this Green earth off leash. Next thing I know, we’re halfway to Canada, no cell service, and I’m pretty sure I saw a moose giving us the side-eye. But we made it out. Stronger. Closer. Colder. This one day, Mom and Dad left. All good, my aunt came to hang out for awhile. But when they came back, they told me they had got engaged. I’ve never tasted an “engaged” before, but I guess it sounds good? Little did I know that meant I need to get my tux drycleaned because they were throwing a party. So here’s to my humans. Mom found me a dad who loves Pizza more than I love Dental Treats. I’m proud of us. I love us. Now it is time for some pupper dreams.
