This is a hilly state park that's gorgeous in the spring and summer. It's also where Joseph proposed to Lucy :)
We are pretty blessed (and spoiled!) in Providence with so many fantastic places to eat. A few of Lucy and Joseph's favorite places for lunch or dinner are (try to guess whose favorite is whose): - Pinoy Lane to Go - Bee's Thai - DenDen Korean Fried Chicken - Old Canteen (Italian special) - Plant City (vegan!) - India Restaurant - Wara Wara (Japanese ramen) - King's Garden Dim Sum - Pho Horn's (Vietnamese) - La Arepa (Venezuelan) - Tienda Y Taqueria Puebla ($2 tacos!) And don't forget about dessert! - Pastiche - Tricycle (Filipino-owned!) - Kow Kow - Three Sisters - Tizzy K's
Up the hill, you can find Brown University and walk along the campus.
Third lighthouse of the United States, and a really nice place to take photos.
Rhode Island's Little Italy - scenic spot for great Italian food.
Open on Saturdays - a local market of fresh produce and unique bites.
Wayland Square has many lovely shops and restaurants—Paper Nautilus (secondhand books), Red Stripe (Lucy and Joseph’s first date at a restaurant), and L’Artisan (cute café) to name a few.
We like to climb - and this is a great spot to try if you're feeling mildly adventurous while you're here. Next door is an axe throwing bar, too!
A great park for runs and outdoor climbs.
Newport is full of charming shops and sights by the sea - and this is as scenic as it gets! It's a beautiful walk near the campus of Salve Regina University.
We know very little about tennis, and yet we found this to be pretty cool. We went with our friends, and we had a great time.
Considered the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" of the Gilded Age. Reviews say it can get pretty busy, so if you're looking for another spot to tour, check out The Elks. (We have never been here, so let us know what it's like!)
