Schuylkill River Trail
This trail covers 30 miles, stretching from Center City Philadelphia all the way out to Valley Forge National Historical Park. This is one of our favorite places to go on a bike ride on a nice Saturday morning. Go over the South Street Bridge for the best view in the city and pet some dogs at the Schuylkill River Dog Run for us!
Reading Terminal Market
A quick 20 minute walk from the hotel, Reading Terminal Market is one of our favorite spots! Stop by Hershel's East Side Deli for a pastrami reuben, DiNic's for a roast pork, or Old City Coffee for a morning caffeine boost!
Angelo's Pizzeria
Hands down the best cheesesteak and pizza in the city! Walk in and cash only though so planning ahead is a must. (Bonus points for getting the cheesteak with cooper sharp and onions in our honor- we will be jealous)
Independence Beer Garden
Only a few steps from our venue location, a great outdoor spot to grab a drink!
Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti
Right across the street from Mariott Old City is one of our favorite brunch spots. Make a reservation and sit out on the patio for bottomless Mimosa or Sangria with our favorite spicy calamari.
Buddakan
Next door to the Renaissance Hotel is an awesome restaurant featuring upscale Asian fusion dishes. The Spicy Rock Shrimp Bao Buns and General Tso’s Soup Dumplings are always a hit.
Independence Hall
This is the park where we walk Bubba every day! You can also check out Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Feel free to take a tour or just enjoy walking around the cobble stone streets.
Race Street Pier
One of our favorite spots to spend time outdoors during Covid, take a walk down to Race Street Pier for a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge and Deleware River. A few steps away there is another pier as well- Cherry Street Pier where you can grab a drink and hang out.
Café Tolia
Hit up our favorite new coffee spot in Old City! A quaint family owned and operated spot that serves our favorite la colombe coffee and breakfast sandwiches!
Eggcellent Cafe
Take a nice morning stroll down to Eggcelente Cafe for breakfast skillets and sandwiches that are to die for. Joe usually gets the Mexi hash and Dani gets the eggsplicit sandwich!
