We met thanks to my brother‑in‑law, who introduced us at a family gathering. According to Jose Manuel, I gave him a “crazy look” the first time I saw him I still don’t think I did, but he swears it’s true. What I do remember is that we spent that night laughing, talking, and enjoying everyone’s company like we had known each other longer than a few hours. Later that night, I asked him if he wanted to go on a walk with me around the neighborhood. That walk changed everything. We talked for so long and so easily that it felt natural to exchange numbers before the night ended. From that moment on, we texted every single day. Our first official date was at Teazers in the Tower District. After a couple more date's he learned very quickly that I have a serious love for ice cream. As the dates went on days turned into months, our conversations got deeper, our connection grew stronger, and our feelings for each other became impossible to ignore. We told each other “I love you” for the first time on Halloween of 2023 a moment we’ll never forget. Since then, our love has only grown. Every day, we choose each other, we learn from each other, and we love each other more than the day before.
