Michael and I met back in 2018 at HD Supply. I had just moved up from customer service to an inside sales role, the role he was currently at as well. Me and actually one of his best friends Jacob H. Started at the same time and had training together, once training was done they took us out to the sales floor and we were introduced as a group “here is the new sales representatives” Michael stood out to me as he came up to me and gave me a hand shake and introduced himself. I thought it was a bit odd as no one did that. I then happen to be sat next to Jacobs cubicle, it was so funny to me I thought michael did not like me as every time me and Jacob would talk and Michael was coming up to speak to him he would act awkward and just not talk to me or look me in the eyes. As time went on I started to blend into his circle of friends at work and things just happen to take a turn after Memorial Day weekend of 2018, he started showing interest in me and I in him, we talked for months and months….. it seemed like haha until Christmas of 2019 when he asked me to be his official girlfriend, and the rest is history ♥️

Initially I wanted to propose in Venice on a gondola ride which was going to be the last day of our trip. But a couple weeks before the trip I changed my mind. I went to our friend Ari who was going on the trip with us to see if she could help me come up with an earlier place to propose. We came up with an idea to do it in a botanical garden in Florence they were going to have this exhibit with purple flowers. But once we landed in Paris my nerves got to me and I changed my mind again and wanted to do it sooner so we could celebrate the rest of the trip. I was planning to propose in front of the Eiffel Tower at night when the lights were shining. But once we got there the lights turned off for the night. I decided to go ahead and do it at the botanical garden. At the botanical garden, it was drizzling slightly but we were still walking around exploring the garden. I kept looking for the purple flowers but we couldn’t find them. We found out they removed them a week before we got there. Now I had to go back to the original plan of Venice. We arrived in Venice and we got in the Gondola ride. I was nervous I didn’t know if I was going to do a little speech or just get on one knee and ask her. So I took a deep breath and got on a knee and started my speech asking her to marry me. She said yes! I think we were both so nervous in that moment that after she said yes, I forgot to put the ring on her finger.
