Do I need Mexican pesos?

Answer

Although most places accept credit cards, make sure to get cash (Mexican pesos MXN) at the airport ATM. Most places accept credit cards but tips and transport may be dependent on cash. We recommend from $200-300 USD which is $4,000 - 6,000 MXN for the weekend.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dresscode is formal attire. For men, dark suit and tie will do. For women, a floor length dress or an evening pantsuit works. It is an outdoor wedding so you might want to reconsider stilettos.

What else should I pack?

The rest of the events have a casual dresscode. May in Mexico can be hot during the day but can be chilly at night so don't forget a light sweater or a pashmina. ("Its not too hot, its not too cold, all you need is a light sweater")

We realize you have probably heard bad news about safety in Mexico. Saltillo is one of the safest cities in Mexico (awarded 2nd best city to live in ;) ) The places and activities we are recommending are completely safe and you should have no concerns.
