Her Story I first met Jose while visiting my friend in Groves, TX, at a church service. I remember feeling annoyed with him for imposing on plans made with a long-time friend. I thought, 'Who is this guy, and why is he butting into our plans?' Little did I know, he would become a permanent part of my life. During lunch after church, it felt like it was just Jose and me there. We almost forgot there were other people sitting at our table eating lunch with us. I remember thinking, 'This guy is really cute, funny, and respectful.' Afterwards, I asked our mutual friend, Keilah, all the questions about him. Eventually, a week after we met, our friend told me Jose thought I was cute. The next day, I 'slid into his DMs.' The moment we both understood we were interested in each other was the moment I knew this guy would be a permanent person in my life. While dating, it seemed like we were long-time friends. It was so easy talking and being with him. There were never any weird or nervous moments. It was all natural, like it was meant to be. The day he proposed could not have been more perfect. He surprised me (not an easy thing to do) with an amazing setup, my friends and family, and with his wonderfully spoken request to be his wife. Not only did God bless me with a partner, He blessed me with my best friend!
After church on January 29th, I first saw her. I instantly thought, 'Wow, she’s tall and gorgeous. I need to know more about her.' I strategically started my plan when we went to get lunch at Sake with mutual friends. While eating, we started talking, and I took the time to get a little QTNA. What suckered me in was the love we have for our dogs. At this point, it felt like no one else was around. A few days passed by, and I must have annoyed people with questions because I got a DM from her. I was surprised but played it cool. We eventually started chatting, and we both agreed on wanting something serious. So, over the next few weeks, we started learning about each other. Everything was going amazing, a little too good, you might add. Eventually, we both decided to see if this was in God’s will. After 3 days of prayer and fasting, God spoke to me in my dreams and gave His support. On March 31st, I’m back in town from work, and she decided to visit me from Dallas. So, in typical fashion, we decided to go see a movie. Let’s just say the movie wasn’t the only thing that sparked magic. After the movie, our relationship was official, even though in my mind she’s been my girlfriend since day one 😅. Not too long after, we decided to ask our pastors for their permission and support for our newfound relationship. As time passes on and our love grows, I wholeheartedly knew she was going to be my wife. Eventually, I initiated my 'Friendsgiving proposal surprise plan,' but she was onto me! I gaslit her so hard to throw her off the trail; I had to repent. Needless to say, on November 11th, Ejiro became my fiancée. This was 'His-Story'! On October 15th, 2024, please help me celebrate the future and what is to come.
