What cultural traditions will be honored?

Answer

In addition to many Catholic traditions that will be observed during our wedding mass, we invite our guests to participate in the Dollar Dance (Baile del Dólar) and La Víbora de la Mar. Dollar Dance or Baile del Dólar It is a dance where guests will have an opportunity to dance with the bride and groom and guests will pin dollar bills to the couple. We encourage our guests to bring dollar bills for when it is time to dance with the bride and groom. All dollar amounts welcome ;) ($1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100) La Víbora de la Mar Is a dance game that is deeply rooted in Mexican heritage and is supposed to symbolize the ups and downs the couple will face in life. The couple stands on chairs opposite each other, holding a bridge-like cloth or veil high over their heads. This forms a symbolic sea where the "víbora" or "snake" (i.e., the wedding guests) will navigate. The game starts with guests lining up, holding hands to form a long chain. The line of guests, or the 'snake,' then weaves under and over the cloth bridge in a coordinated movement, mimicking the motion of a sea serpent in the water. This dance's dynamic nature creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm and fun, adding to the joyful spirit of the occasion!

La Taquiza (Dinner)

Answer

Our Mexican dinner includes your choice of tacos (asada, al pastor or vegetarian), side of rice & beans, and a salad. Please note, everyone will be served 3 tacos to begin but there will be plenty for seconds/thirds as part of the TAQUIZA! Nuestra cena mexicana incluye tacos de su elección ((asada, al pastor or vegetariano), arroz y frijoles, y ensalada. Se servirán aguas frescas y bebidas alcohólicas. Tengan en cuenta que a todos se les servirán 3 tacos para comenzar, ¡pero habrá suficiente para seguir la TAQUIZA!

Will there be non-alcoholic drinks?

Answer

While we will have an open bar, serving Tequila, Vodka, and beer; Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available and they are our selection of agua frescas: Horchata, Tamarindo, & Jamaica.

What colors should be avoided?

Answer

Please avoid wearing any white, navy or royal blue suits, or rustic orange/brown dresses.

Should I bring gifts to the wedding?

Answer

If you desire to gift us something, please use the registry and send to our address. We will not have capacity to bring gifts the day of back to our place.

Will I need to bring an ID to consume alcohol?

Answer

In compliance with the OLCC & venue, guests will be asked to show a valid ID (one time) in order to consume alcohol on the premises. Guests will be given a bracelet after showing ID.

Can kids attend? Pueden asistir mis niños?

Answer

We are having a kid free wedding and are limited with the number of guests in our venue. We ask you honor this request and plan accordingly. Should you have questions, please reach out. Nuestra boda no se permitirá tener niños e somos limitados con el numero de invitados en el salon. Favor de honrar este pedido y planear con tiempo. Si tienen preguntas sobre este tema, favor de comunicarse con nosotros.

Can I bring a plus-one who is not named in the guest list?

Answer

We ask you honor our guest list and if for some reason your +1 cannot attend, please do not bring anyone not named on the invite. Thank you for your understanding. Le pedimos que honren nuestra lista de invitados y si por una razón no puede asistir su pareja, favor de no traer alguien que no está nombrado/a en nuestra lista. Gracias por su entendimiento.
