It all started with a simple swipe—and two very important matchmakers: our chocolate labs, Copper and Lucy. When Shayna and Jose first connected on Hinge, it wasn’t just their shared careers in healthcare that brought them together, but their mutual love for their four-legged best friends. What began as lighthearted conversations about work and puppies quickly turned into something much deeper. From the very beginning, there was an easy connection—one built on compassion, laughter, and a shared understanding of what it means to care for others. Between long shifts and busy schedules, they found comfort in each other, bonding over stories from work, weekend dog adventures, and a growing love that felt as natural as it was exciting. Over the past three and a half years, Shayna and Jose have built a life full of adventure, loyalty, and joy. Their shared passion for travel has taken them to beautiful places around the world, but one destination will always hold a special place in their hearts. While overlooking the breathtaking coastline at the Balcón de Europa in Spain, Jose asked Shayna to spend forever with him—and she said yes. Today, their little family has grown to include not just Copper and Lucy, but also Teddy, a sweet black lab puppy who has completed their pack. Together, they continue to write their story—one filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures still to come.
