As some of you may know by now, this story began in Queens, New York, 25 years ago. For those who do not, or for those who may not remember, here is how it started. One sunny afternoon at the corner of 90th St and Corona Ave, a young beautiful girl approached me. (More like picked on me at the Q44 bus stop). There I was, minding my business, relaxing from hours of NYC public education, when suddenly I hear a voice asking me if I talk. When I looked up, there she was with her JanSport backpack, her beautiful black hair, with bangs, and those beautiful shaped eyes, pierced through my heart. I was sure she was cutting class and bullying people at the bus stop, so I answered with a tremble in my voice, “yes I can talk”. She responded with, “where you from?” and I answered, “Peru”. Just like that, this was enough to say, what many call LOVE at first sight!

For the last 25 years we have had our ups and downs, but not more or less than many of us. But when LOVE is present, no matter which way, up or down, we were heading, we found ourselves needing each other, missing each other and wanting to be together. Fast forward 25 years from the first time we met, I happen to be at the corner of 90th St and Corona Ave, when I hear a voice say, “can you talk?, come out the car”, and just like that my beautiful black hair bully, with no bangs, and beautiful shaped eyes, pierced through my soul once again, and made me ask for her hand in marriage AGAIN, and LOVE said YES. So here we are, planning our wedding with our families and friends ! Oh, this whole story is completely true. Except for all the parts that are totally made up. Love You Scarlent.
