Jose and Lindsay met at church. They attended a young adults ministry together for a while, both served on the worship team, and helped in the youth ministry. Truth be told, Jose had a pretty big crush on Lindsay for a while, but the timing was never right. Their friendship slowly developed over the years and one day he decided to invite her to go to a church service in Yucca Valley together and much to his relief she said yes. Of course she saw him as a friend at first, but he persisted. He made plans with groups to intentionally “hang out” by either hiking, having game nights, playing volleyball or going out to eat. They started going to Yucca Valley every week together, spending more time talking. The family started questioning this “friendship”. Lindsay started to realize that there was something more there and prayed for God's guidance. The confirmation came when she felt that romantic spark for him. A month later, he asked her to be his girlfriend and the rest is history.
