WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!

We are so excited for you to celebrate with us on our special day!

Our Story

In 2014, Jose and Kaylee were students at Pittsburg State University and staying in Pittsburg, KS through the summer. Most students went back home while a few stayed to work through the season. Jose wanted to donate pop tabs to Kaylee's sorority charity drive and connected with her to drop them off since she was one of the only members staying at PSU that summer. After dropping them off, Jose asked Kaylee on a date to walk around campus and get to know each other. At the end of the summer, Jose asked Kaylee to be his girlfriend. After many life changes over the years, Jose and Kaylee's relationship has developed into the loving and supportive one we see today.

The Proposal

Jose and Kaylee have been to the National WWI Museum several times, but Jose has always been too afraid of heights to go to the top of the Liberty Memorial Tower. Jose had Kaylee take the afternoon off work to go to what she thought was a volunteer activity at the museum. Once they arrive at the Liberty Memorial Tower he told her that it was time to face their fears and go to the top. Jose and Kaylee were in a hurry to get to the tower before it started to rain. Once they were in the elevator to take them to the top, the attendant got a message that they had to stop all tours due to lightning near by. The attendant said he would let them go up anyways for just a few minutes, but they had to come right back. They raced around the top of the tower to look at the beautiful view of Kansas City. Jose then got down on one knee and asked Kaylee to marry him. Just shortly after they came down from the tower it started pouring down rain. Later that evening, Jose had gathered all of their closest friends and family together to celebrate such a special moment.
