We met in college at Quinnipiac University through our mutual best girlfriend (shoutout Natal). We started out as just friends but after spending his 21st birthday at my house with a group of friends, my Mother was convinced it would be more. Fast forward a few weeks later where he moved me into my first college apartment without any questions, followed by lunch with my family. Jose continued to always do the little things without hesitation and put the effort in even when I wasn’t having it. He even went to the point of asking my best friend to lunch to see what he needed to do to win my attention (shoutout KatelynRose). From there, I knew I had to give him the chance. Our Tuesday night movie and dominos became a regular date, Whitney Donut deliveries and way to much tequila became a common theme throughout the rest of college. From the start of our senior year together we continued to grow as people, as friends, and as a couple. I don’t think either of us would have thought that a Friday night at Aunt Chilada’s would bring us to where we are today. Six years later we continue our movie and date nights, we love a good breakfast sammy (whether in the comfort of bed or 8,000 ft up on top of a mountain) and the amount of tequila consumed has not slowed, our taste has only gotten better. We’ve begun to build a life surrounded by the best family and friends we could ask for, who have supported us through every decision, including moving across the country and now planning a wedding within 4 months time. We are so excited to have everyone with us on February 11th, those near and far, to celebrate the life we’re building together and to celebrate you all for taking the journey with us! See you soon.
