On the campus of the University of Lynchburg, it was track and field that brought us together. I, (Elle) had just retired from the Track and Field team, as Jose was joining the team as a transfer student. With our shared passion for throwing heavy things and continuously mingling in the same group of friends, We hit it off immediately. Dragging each other to our favorite things, Movie and game nights made it to the top of our favorite things to do. When we ended up on our first official date it took us to where we would later become regulars at... Waffle House.

We have two amazing dogs. Our first dog is an amazing black lab named Della. She never seems to run out of energy and spends her time trying to take steal all the dog toys in the house for herself. Our second dog is a German shepherd/chihuahua mix named Rex. He loves to play with his big sister and take naps by Elle while she is at her desk.

Waffle House! We go there so often we have joked about getting married in one. Elle's Order: Sausage, egg, (no cheese) hash brown bowl. Jose's Order: Texas bacon, egg, and cheese melt with double hashbrowns covered.

For those who do not know Jose is the chef in this relationship. Elle has an unfortunate habit of catching pans on fire and setting off the smoke alarm. If we are talking baking, Elle has him beat. R.I.P. Our first set of pans. You are still missed.
