Our foundation was built over a lifetime, beginning in the hallways of middle school. Those years were spent building a friendship, learning who we were, and quietly knowing we had found someone special. Finally, with a heart full of hope, Jose asked Charlene to be his girlfriend. That 'yes' was the start of everything. We grew up together, navigating the highs and lows of high school side-by-side. We cheered each other on through college and university, our dreams and ambitions intertwining as we evolved from kids into the adults we are today. We learned the meaning of partnership through all-night study sessions and the unwavering knowledge that we always had each other's backs. We then added a new, joyful layer to our lives by adopting our dog, Thor, whose love brought us even closer. Then, on a sun-kissed beach in Hawaii, Jose looked at his best friend—the girl he fell for in middle school—and finally asked her to be his wife. For Charlene, it was the easiest question she’s ever been asked, and that second 'yes' felt like the beautiful, full-circle completion of our first one. We are so incredibly excited to celebrate the start of our next chapter with all of you—the family and friends who have supported us through every step of this journey.
