How does the RSVP for the wedding day work. I don’t understand? ¿Como es que sirve la confirmación del transporte el día de la boda?

Answer

If you’re choosing to stay at the BH Hotel or near that area of La Zona Rosa/ Parque 93/ 85, we suggest you choose the transport leaving from BH hotel. Now if you are staying near the airport or reside in Bogota near the airport, we suggest to choose the transport from Rafael Núñez, which we have provided the address if you need clarification on location. The times come at your discretion. The earlier the better, if you ask us ! Si se deciden quedarse en el hotel que recomendamos que es el BH Hotel, o por La Zona Rosa, Parque 93/ o 85- le recomendamos utilizar el transporte que sale desde el Hotel BH. Si es que se van ah hospedar por el aeropuerto o si viven en Bogota, les recomendamos utilizar el transporte que sale de Rafael Núñez. Hemos incluido las direcciones de los dos lugares para que tengan claro la ubicación. Con respecto a la hora, recomendamos la hora temprana.

Colombia has a currency of Colombian Pesos. For each $1.00 it is equivalent to about 3,000 Colombian Pesos. Easiest way to do the math, is divide the number of pesos quoted by 3,000. En Colombia se maneja el Peso Colombiano. Cada $1.00 is igual a 3,000 pesos.

Bogotá sits at 2,600 meters above sea level. Surrounded by mountains, the average temperature is 58 degrees. Bogotá se ubica a 2,600 sobre el nivel del mar. Rodedada de montañas, Bogotá tiene una temperatura promedio de 14 grados centígrados.

What kind of clothing should I pack? / ¿Qué tipo de ropa debo llevar?

Answer

It usually rains in Bogotá year round. A nice pair of comfortable shoes, light jacket, and a scarf for the night time will do. However, there are days where a heavier jacket will be needed at night, especially when traveling outskirts of the city. Es muy común que llueva en Bogotá. Con unos zapatos comodos, chaqueta ligera, y una bufanda es suficiente. Tener en cuenta que puedes necesitar una chaqueta gruesa para las noches, especialmente cuando visitas lugares aledaños a Bogotá.

What is the traffic in Bogotá? / ¿Como es el trafico en Bogotá?

Answer

Bogotá has a population of 9 million people. Traffic is heavy at all times. However, especially from 7am-9am & 4pm-8pm at night. It is better to stay off the roads during these times if possible. Bogotá tiene alrededor de 9 millones de habitantes. El trafico es pesado durante todo el diá. Especialmente durante las horas de 7am-9am & 4pm-8pm. Evita recorrer tramos largos durante éstas horas.

How do I get around the city? / ¿Que tipo de transporte debo usar?

Answer

Uber is found all through the city. However, Taxi drivers have boycotted this service. So if you do use Uber, do not find it strange that the driver will ask you or someone from your party, to ride in the front seat. Don't worry, it is not illegal! Taxi is another safe way, but usually a higher price rate. With the taxi service, we recommend you call the taxi for pick-up instead of getting one waved down on the street. Uber se utiliza en toda la cuidad. Para usar este servicio, debe de ir alguien sentado en la silla delantera. Para prevenir situaciones con otro servicio de transporte como los taxis. Los taxis también son otro medio de transporte, pero recomendamos llamar el taxi antes de la recogida, y evitar agarrar el taxi en la calle.

Is water safe to drink? / ¿El agua es potable?

YES! The water from the faucet is safe to drink. If this is your first time out of the country, we suggest you drink bottle water only. Please be careful when buying water from the street, making sure it is sealed and untampered. SI, el agua es potable de la llave. Si compa agua de la calle, asegúrese que esté bien sellada.

How much money should I take? / ¿Cuanto dinero debo de llevar?

This will all depend on the type of trip you will like to make. Please keep in mind if you RSVP for transportation, this service is free of charge, as a "thank you," from the Bride & Groom for attending the celebration. Meals, entry of attractions and sites, alcohol, and other expenses will be the responsibility of the individual. Esto todo depende del tipo de viaje que desea tener. Si usted hace el RSVP para las actividades, el transporte es gratuito por parte de los novios. Los gastos de comida, bebidas, entradas de las actividades, y mas seria la responsabilidad del individual atendiendo.

Where can I experience nightlife?/ ¿Donde puedo salir de noche?

Answer

La 85- also known as "La Zona Rosa," where the BH Hotel is located, is the center of nightlife in Bogotá. El Parque de la 93 also has more bars and places to eat & drink, located a couple blocks away from La Zona Rosa. La Zona Rosa, que queda por la 85 es el centro de vida nocturna en Bogotá. El Hotel BH queda en la Zona Rosa, teniendo acceso a muchos restaurantes, bares, y lugares para bailar. El parque de la 93 queda a unas cuadras de La Zona Rosa, que tambien tiene vida nocturna.

Are there other cities to visit in Colombia?/ ¿Cuales son otras cuidades para visitar en Colombia?

Answer

There is SO much to see in beautiful Colombia. Other popular cities include Medellin, known for its eternal Spring weather with amazing music, food, and people. Santa Marta, known for its vegetation, scenery, and where the beach meets the river. Cartagena, has become very touristy and the beaches are not the same they once were. However, it remains with beautiful architecture of the Old City of Cartagena. Leticia is where you can find the heart of the Amazons. Each region of Colombia will bring a different cuisine, weather terrain, scenery, and flavor. This will depend on what you are looking for.

How far is Pozo Chico from Bogotá?/ ¿A cuanto queda Pozo Chico de Bogotá?

Answer

The venue is about a 45 min drive. However, with the traffic in Bogotá, this can turn into a 1 hour to 1.5 hour commute. Pozo Chico se encuentra a 45 min. Pero con el trafico de Bogotá, se puede convertir en 1 hora- 1 hora y media.

What do you wear to a Black Tie event? / ¿Es mandatorio el traje de esmoquin?

Answer

For women, a long dress and for men a suit. It is not necessary to wear a tuxedo by no means. We do not want this to be a financial burden in any way. Para mujeres un vestido largo, y para los hombres un traje de corbata. Lo ultimo que queremos es que se sienta comprometido a comprar un esmoquin. Su presencia es lo mas importante para nosotros.
