Jose and Angela first met in the summer of 2024 salsa dancing at the Plaza Mariachi. Angela had just finished a dance and was waiting for someone to ask her for the next one, when Jose came up to her with wide-eyes and complimented her on her dancing. She had never seen him before, but the way he looked at her was as if he knew her. He asked her to dance and they had a sweet time with a few salsa songs on the dance floor. After that night, weeks went on where they would occasionally run into each other on the dance floor for some fun salsa and bachata songs. Months passed and on a providential night in February of 2025, Angela and her roommate went out dancing again at the Plaza (after coming back from a trip visiting Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico!). After passing Jose and exchanging friendly nods, Angela whispered to her roommate, "That's my salsa crush!" A few moments later while they were waiting for a dance lesson to be done, the Holy Spirit took over and Angela said, "Should we go sit by him?" With their agreement and newfound confidence, they sat at his table and started up a conversation with him. Jose was surprised they wanted to sit by him, but welcomed them and became intrigued and excited about this new encounter. The rest of the night was filled with lots of dancing, fun conversations, and exchanging numbers. Jose asked her out to dinner for the next day, making their first date on Valentine's Day. One week later, Jose surprised Angela with roses and asked her to be his girlfriend! It was the sweetest yes that has led to the best adventure. In September of 2025 on a beautiful beach in California, Jose surprised Angela with even more roses and asked her to be his wife. With an even bigger yes, they entered into this next chapter of engagement that has been filled with abundant graces from God. Everyday is a gift and they are beyond grateful and excited to enter into the Sacrament of Matrimony and celebrate this occasion with you all!

José y Ángela se conocieron por primera vez en el verano de 2024 bailando salsa en la Plaza Mariachi. Ángela acababa de terminar un baile y estaba esperando a que alguien la invitara al siguiente, cuando José se le acercó con los ojos muy abiertos y le hizo un cumplido sobre cómo bailaba. Ella nunca lo había visto antes, pero la manera en que él la miraba era como si ya la conociera. Él le pidió bailar y pasaron un momento dulce juntos con algunas canciones de salsa en la pista. Después de esa noche, pasaron semanas en las que ocasionalmente se encontraban en la pista para bailar salsa y bachata. Pasaron los meses y, en una noche providencial de febrero de 2025, Ángela y su compañera de cuarto salieron a bailar nuevamente en la Plaza (¡después de regresar de un viaje visitando a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en México!). Después de cruzarse con José e intercambiar saludos amistosos, Ángela le susurró a su compañera: «¡Ese es mi amor platónico de la salsa!». Unos momentos después, mientras esperaban a que terminara una clase de baile, el Espíritu Santo tomó el control y Ángela dijo: «¿Deberíamos ir a sentarnos con él?». Con su acuerdo y una nueva confianza, se sentaron en su mesa y comenzaron una conversación. José se sorprendió de que quisieran sentarse con él, pero las recibió con gusto y se sintió intrigado y emocionado por este nuevo encuentro. El resto de la noche estuvo lleno de mucho baile, conversaciones divertidas e intercambio de números. José la invitó a cenar al día siguiente, convirtiendo su primera cita en el Día de San Valentín. ¡Una semana después, José sorprendió a Ángela con rosas y le pidió que fuera su novia! Fue el «sí» más dulce, que dio inicio a la mejor aventura. En Septiembre de 2025, en una hermosa playa de California, José sorprendió a Ángela con aún más rosas y le pidió que fuera su esposa. Con un «sí» aún más grande, comenzaron este nuevo capítulo de compromiso, lleno de abundantes gracias de Dios. ¡Cada día es un regalo y están inmensamente agradecidos y emocionados de entrar en el Sacramento del Matrimonio y celebrar esta ocasión con todos ustedes!
