It all started with two kids, a little crush, and absolutely no idea that we were destined to be each other's forever. We had known of each other since we were six—same school, same sports teams, from soccer to T-ball—but our story didn’t truly begin until the first day of 7th grade math class. The teacher was assigning seats alphabetically, and once everyone was settled, in walked Jose. Turns out, there wasn’t a seat left for him! There were three empty desks to choose from, one right next to Amanda. As the teacher gave him the choice, our eyes met, and Jose made his move—he picked the desk beside Amanda. What started as quiet nerves and a few shy smiles quickly turned into whispered jokes, giggles, and eventually... getting in trouble for talking too much. By 8th grade, we were "dating" (as much as middle schoolers can). Through high school, even while attending different schools, our love grew stronger. One of our most cherished memories is Amanda’s quinceañera, where Jose was her escort. Just as he was her last dance that magical night, he promised to be her last dance every night for the rest of their lives. From middle school math class to where we are now, we’ve been by each other’s side through it all: high school, college, first jobs, loss, buying our first home, and countless milestones in between. We often look back on those two kids who fell in love over assigned seating and thank them for being brave enough to take a chance on each other. We feel so lucky to share this journey together and to have all of you—our family and friends—here to celebrate our next chapter. With love, Amanda & Jose
