There was once a prince, crowned at birth, armored by choice. He traveled the world, sometimes wolf, sometimes man, in the quiet of the night, in its shadow. The prince chased the moon, enamored by its light. He wondered where he may catch up with its silvery bliss. There a moment, gone again. There were many battles, the prince learned to trust his instincts, bare his fangs. He grew powerful in his solitude. Wore his scars, each a badge of pride. Eyes adjusted to the night. But then the prince met the sun, all encompassing. The sun brought an army along, a thousand hands resting on his shoulders forming a powerful set of wings. The sun reached out to the prince, hand outstretched, smile spread across his face. "The war is over, you'll never be alone again". The prince, sometimes man, sometimes wolf, no longer chases the light of the moon. He is warm, wanting for naught. For the prince has the light of the sun burning within his heart.
We met in the unlikely and treacherous place of the interwebs. Joshua reached out to me with flirtatious intent and a few months later he was flying from Minnesota to Colorado to meet me for the first time. We spoke for months before meeting, but I knew he was the one for a long time before admitting it not just to myself, but to him as well. It was hilarious, before he went to visit me everyone wanted to know who I was, run background checks on me, wanted a full profile of information, but this quickly let me know that there are people in his life that care deeply for him. We met, we clicked, and I missed him the moment he stepped out of my car to head back home. I needed him in my life, this ball of sunshine in a person. He's sweet, kind, caring, funny...and in the coming months I worked quickly to wrap up my chapter in Colorado and head to Minnesota. The last few years with him have been a whirlwind, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm so happy we met, so happy he decided to reach out, so happy I took this leap and moved all the way over here. And I'm exited for what the future holds for us. Thank you for sharing the celebration of our story and our love.
