The couple matched on Tinder while Joscelyn was in her last year at the University of Northern Iowa and Konnor was living in Cedar Rapids. Their first date was eating dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and watching Iron Man at Joscelyn's dorm. For two years, the couple did long distance and rotated driving to see each other every other weekend. After 2 years of dating, the couple moved into an apartment together where they have resided for the last 3 years. They have 1 dog and 2 cats. On January 1, 2023 they got engaged at a jam that Konnor's mom was performing in. In June they will be closing on a house and will be starting their married life in Mitchellville.

On the anniversary of saying "I love you" for the very first time, Konnor made a plan to propose at a New Year's party. Konnor's mom was performing with her band at The Ideal in Cedar Rapids for a Great Gatsby themed party. Amidst getting dressed up for the 20's themed party, Konnor was smuggling the ring from Des Moines to Cedar Rapids. Joscelyn heard some rustling and questioned Konnor what he had brought with him. Konnor got scared/nervous and quickly hid what he had and said he had nothing. Joscelyn knew he had bought snacks for the drive and that's why she questioned Konnor. Konnor pulled out his gummy worms he had bought and placed it in front of Joscelyn. She then had no suspicions. Throughout the rest of the night up until 11:45pm, Joscelyn was feeling sick and kept persisting that they went home, but little did she know Konnor had been hiding a ring this whole time. Konnor shared with his family and the photographers what he was planning. Konnor made an excuse to go to the back room where he stashed the ring. When he came back, as the clock approached midnight, he tried to get Joscelyn to the dance floor for the countdown. Joscelyn was hesitant because she does not like crowds or any attention on her. Konnor had to hint to Joscelyn what was about to happen. As the clock struck down, Konnor got down on one knee and asked Joscelyn to spend forever with him. Of course she said "YES"!
