Palazzo d'Avalos
A beautiful terrace and museum of ancient art and more! Fun fact: Roberto gave a TED Talk in the gardens of this Palazzo in Summer of 2022.
Bike Point
A beautiful bike path along the cost. There's quite a few bike rental places in the area! Recently, this path was created from an old train line so it's a great path even for beginners. If you'd like you can also get off the path and slip down to a beach. C'è una bella pista ciclabile lungo la costa, creata di recente sul percorso della vecchia linea ferroviaria, quindi perfetta anche per chi è alle prime armi. Nei dintorni esistono diversi punti dove noleggiare biciclette! Chi lo desidera, puoi facilmente deviare dal percorso e fare una passeggiata in spiaggia.
Isole Tremiti
This is a beautiful chain of islands you can reach by boat for a day-trip or overnight excursions. Part of Gargano National Park, the islands have rich marine life and dive spots. San Nicola Island has the 11th-century Santa Maria a Mare abbey, with mosaic flooring, and the waterfront Castello dei Badiali fortress. Pine-covered San Domino Island features beaches and cliffs, including the Ripa dei Falconi, a breeding ground for rare falcons.
Castello Caldoresco
Castello Caldoresco is a Renaissance castle in Vasto. It is a private property and therefore is not open to the public. It was built in the early 15th century by the then-lord of the city, Jacopo Caldora, starting from a pre-existing large tower.
