Andrew and Jori have known each other for 14 years. They first knew each other as colleagues working at the same office, later as general work friends greeting each other at infrequent meetings, and then about 10 years later - after many things had changed in their lives, they found themselves working together and seeing each other a little differently. Lots of traveling together happened while they dated, and soon after, Everleigh joined them on even more adventures. February of 2024 Andrew sprung plans on Jori for an impromptu trip to Hawaii and she “knew” a proposal was going to happen since there was no better place he could pop the question. She made every effort to remain “proposable” 😉 so he wouldn’t change his mind! The first three days of their trip felt like the fun of a honeymoon! Beautiful hippie breakfasts, adventuring the coast, lava flows and hot pools… but days later with no sign of a ring, Jori started to think this wasn’t happening… she had told EVERYONE it was, in typical Jori fashion. Two days before leaving, despite random happenstance and Jori’s efforts to thwart his plans (a bad attitude over a climb for a picturesque hike, a “catfished” whale watching boat excursion, a school bus load of children flooding the beach, Jori pillaging the shore of every seashell…) Andrew finally managed to catch her off guard kneeling in a lagoon-esque beach park. Funny enough Jori had been hatching plans of her own to propose in the summer on a kayaking trip if Andrew hadn’t proposed before then. Fast forward to the rumblings of “an upcoming wedding” you all heard… timing was finally right for them and they decided to whip together an intimate, beautiful, non-traditional wedding and celebration with the people they love the most.
