Our love story might sound like the typical love stories of the 21st century- online, but we promise it was not your typical bumble or hinge, it was actually through a mutual friend. Jorge found out about Valeria through this mutual friend and shortly after he found her on Facebook (what a stalker). Shortly after they added each other on Facebook, Jorge message Valeria rapidly (Jorge denies it was that fast). The funny part is that Valeria had already used her detective skills to look through his profile and pictures (just out of curiosity). To her surprise, they didn't even live in the same state at that time. After a few exchanges of Facebook messages, they finally exchanged numbers (which Valeria was reluctant to do because they didn't even live in the same place) and so they began texting and calling each other nearly everyday. They decided to foster a long distance relationship because as they say, the heart wants what the heart wants. After many flights back and fourth, they quickly realized they wanted to be close to one another. That was when Valeria made the decision to leave Texas and move back to Illinois (which was always home).
