FAQs

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

We ask that our guests dress semi-formal. As our ceremony will take place in the Catholic Church, so please also wear attire that is respectful to the sacred space we will be in.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

While we are very happy that people may want to help us capture our special day, we ask that guests keep their phones off during the ceremony and do not take any pictures. We want to maintain reverence within the church to the ceremony that will be taking place. We also have a wonderful photographer who will be capturing the ceremony for us, so we just want our guests to be present and enjoy each moment!

Question

How far is the reception venue from the church?

Answer

Our church is located in the suburb of Carmel Valley, while the reception will take place in Rancho Bernardo, which is approximately 20-30 minutes away by car. Traffic on Saturday afternoons is generally light and should not cause any delays.

Question

When does the ceremony end, and what can I do until the reception starts?

Answer

Our ceremony is projected to end at 2:00PM, which leaves 2 hours and 30 minutes until the beginning of cocktail hour. While there will be an approximated 30 minute commute to the reception, guests will still have additional time between the ceremony and reception. On our "Things to Do" page, we have listed a few places that surround both the church and reception venue that guests can visit. Whether you want to eat, grab a coffee, or check out the surf, we hope that guests can enjoy time recharging before a night of celebrating together!

Question

Is there parking at both venues?

Answer

Yes, there is parking at the church and Rancho Bernardo Inn for free. The Rancho Bernardo Inn also offers valet parking for $8.

Question

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

Unless your invitation is addressed to your "Family," children are not included on the guest list. While we love your little ones, our wedding will generally be an adults-only celebration where we hope everyone can enjoy the night off celebrating with us!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If your invitation is addressed to you "and guest", you are welcome to bring a plus-one! Otherwise, we hope to keep our celebration intimate and appreciate your understanding.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVP can be done online under the "RSVP" page on this website. Please include your full name to RSVP and any guests and/or family members that will be coming with you, if applicable. You will be prompted to select a meal option as well. Please RSVP by August 21.
