We met through a dating app called Bumble. After a week of talking through the app, we decided to go on our first date. We went to Cheddar's in York. We hit it off right from the jump. Our waitress had to come back to the table about 5 times before we actually ordered. Then we ordered the exact same meal with the exception of 1 side. Things just kept growing stronger from there.

We had been talking about marriage for quite a while, therefore I knew it was bound to happen in the near future. He had messaged me from work asking what I would like for dinner and that he was going to cook for me. I suggested his pork chops. This was the meal he first ever cooked for me. It had been a while since we had it. He also came home with the bottle of wine he had with the pork chops. He was so nervous that when cooking he forgot to cook a side (I didn't know this at the time). We decided to cook some noodles. He had me check them and they needed about 5 more minutes. To get me out of the kitchen, away from him, he mentioned we should start a show in the meantime. I sat in the living room watching tv. He asked me to come check the noodles again, I turn the corner and there he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I was so surprised I tackled him. Five to ten minutes later I finally saw the ring and he placed it on my finger. Happiest day of my life thus far.
