This event is completely optional as we aim to respect the religious and spiritual beliefs of all of our guests. We do, however, hope to see you there so you may receive a wedding day blessing and witness the blessing of the sacred space.

A handfasting ceremony is an ancient Celtic marriage ritual. Handfasting represents binding two individuals together in an act of commitment. This is also where the term “tying the knot” comes from!

We will be having some fun kids games to keep your little ones entertained during the reception! These games will include corn hole, a ring toss, and a kitty pool fishing game. Adults can play if they want!

The bread and salt ceremony is a traditional Polish wedding ritual. The parents of the bride and the groom present a loaf of bread, salt, wine, and a silver coin to the wedding table. The bread signifies that the couple will never go hungry, the salt represents overcoming life’s bitterness, the wine represents the sweet things in life, and the coin is a blessing of wealth and happiness.

The Ozcepiny on of the oldest and most important Polish wedding traditions where the mother of the bride, mother in law, godmother, bridesmaids, and grandmothers stand around the bride holding candles as the mother removes her veil, signifying her transition from maiden to married woman.
