We are getting married!

Our journey began at Chapman University in Orange, California, where we met as freshmen in Business Calculus in 2016. After exchanging a few notes in class, we decided to grab coffee and quickly became good friends. Fast forward three years to our junior year: Jordyn was studying abroad in Florence, Italy, while Jacob stayed to continue his studies at Chapman. When Jordyn returned to California, Jacob surprised her with a sweet sign that read, “Go back to Italy!!! Love, Jacob.” Our friendship picked up right where it left off, and we began spending even more quality time together. This time, however, something felt different. And the rest is history!

After Jacob completed the California Bar Exam, Jacob told Jordyn that we would be having dinner with his parents, Alan and Domarina, to celebrate. Little did Jordyn know, Jacob had something much more special in mind! When we arrived at his parents’ home, Jordyn was completely surprised to find a beautifully crafted proposal waiting for her. With Benson Boone's “Before You” playing softly in the background, the moment felt magical. Jordyn was so overwhelmed with excitement that she said yes before Jacob even had the chance to ask the question! Waiting for Jordyn after the proposal were her parents, Mike and Jill, and her brother, Tyler, who had secretly flown in from Salt Lake City to surprise her. Surprising Jordyn is a monumental feat–she is quite the detective. From making sure Jordyn's nails were manicured to turning off Find My Friends at strategic locations, there were many facets to the operation. Mike and Jill went so far as to pose for a fake selfie at the movie theater! Needless to say, Jordyn was shocked! It was a moment filled with love and joy, and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect way to start our next chapter together.
