Once upon a time, the groom to be was creeping Facebook and found this lovely girl that he wanted to add because why not? She decided to accept his request on the basis of 1) he was hot and 2) he went to BBC so how bad could be? After a few weeks of silence, he gathered enough guts to message her over FB. Weirdly enough she replied, and a conversation went from there. They decided to meet over coffee at Northern Lights, and even though the bride to be had lipstick on her teeth, the sparks flew and the rest is history.
After having the first lunch date of the New Years at Applebee's, Cody and Jordyn went to Nay Aug to walk around since it was unseasonably warm. Jordyn, of course, was in heels. She had a feeling today was going to be the date where Cody asked her to be his girlfriend, but hey! she was in PA school and absolutely crazy busy and couldn't add in another factor as to the chaos and had every intention of saying no and to just see where things went, just to keep it casual. Well, when they were on the bridge and he asked her to be his girlfriend, all those thoughts flew out of her head as she shook her head yes. She was so glad she went against the rational side of her. She never regretted it for a second.
They were planning on celebrating Valentine's Day the following weekend over President's Day so Cody didn't have to take leave. However, little did Jordyn know, he planned with her boss and mom to surprise her at work the day before Valentine's Day. Jordyn was told to go and get something off the printer and when she walked back there Cody was - in uniform and with a dozen roses. She was told to have fun rest of the day off. After lunch, Cody took her to Nay Aug where letters containing memories of them were along the trail leading to the very same bridge covered with rose petals where he asked her to be his girlfriend. She was stunned and speechless at the site and all of his hard work, even though she obliviously walked right by the first letter. As he said, she was too busy just shaking her head yes then actually saying yes. And so the next chapter of our lives are about to begin...
