Our meet-cute was at a bar in Long Beach

We met the way all the best stories start... by accident. February 1st. A bar. One of those nights that wasn’t supposed to be anything special… until it was everything. James walked in and somehow the room shifted. Love at first sight sounds dramatic until it happens to you, and suddenly it feels obvious—like your life quietly saying, there you are. Conversation came easy. Laughter came easier. By the end of the night, neither of us could explain it, but we both knew: this wasn’t just a moment, it was the beginning. James is physically incapable of sitting still for long. If he’s not playing volleyball on the weekends, he’s loading up for another softball tournament with a league that is truly one to beat. And while they’re very good, annoyingly good, it’s the team itself that really sells it: a group of amazing, slightly shady players who keep the games competitive, the jokes questionable, and the weekends way more fun than planned. Somewhere between chasing wins, packing bags, and living at ball fields, our lives started revolving around sports schedules and road trips, and somehow, that constant motion just made us fall harder. We like to say we travel a lot for sports… but we’re really looking forward to the day when the destination matters just as much as the tournament. I see the world through a camera lens, which turned out to be perfect for life with James. Between sunset games, blurry victory celebrations, quiet mornings in places we never planned to be, and James fully locked in doing what he loves, there was suddenly no shortage of moments worth capturing. Our life together became a collection of snapshots, some perfectly framed, some a little chaotic, but all of them ours. Then came Oahu. We were there for, of course, a softball tournament. Another trip, another schedule packed with games. Except this one felt different. Maybe it was the ocean air, or the way time slows down in Hawaii, or the quiet realization that we were already living like a forever kind of love. So on Halloween, with almost no planning and absolutely no hesitation, we eloped. Just us. Oahu. Last minute. Perfect. No big buildup. No expectations. Just love, certainty, and the kind of decision that feels less like a leap and more like coming home. Now, after all the tournaments, all the miles, all the moments that led us here, we want to do one more thing, celebrate. Celebrate not just the wedding, but the people who shaped us, supported us, and loved us into who we are. The ones who cheered from the sidelines long before we ever said “I do.” Because our story may have started in a bar on February 1st… But it’s always been about love showing up when you least expect it, and choosing it every day after. 🥂📸🌺

Hi everyone. We’re in the middle of finding another venue. So please sit tight. Feel free to text James or Jordan for more info but we’ll have an update this Wednesday of a confirmed location.
