We have all heard the cliche "timing is everything" when referring to love, well for these two, it's true. Jordan and Ashley found each other at a time when they weren't expecting it. Jordan was living in Chicago, while Ashley was a few hours north in Grand Rapids. Their journey began and after several weeks of getting to know each other with FaceTimes and texts, Ashley made the drive to Chicago. The couple finally met in person and it felt as if they had known each other for years. Their relationship progressed quickly and they both realized this was something very special. After many weekends full of laughs and butterflies, distance made their hearts grow fonder. Jordan and Ashley both soon realized the long distance relationship was no longer an option and the rest was history! When you know, you know.

It was a cold Friday night in Michigan, Jordan was flying into Detroit while Ashley was already in town. The plan for the evening was to meet their families for dinner in Royal Oak. Ashley's thought was to go to their house before Jordan arrived. She heard Jordan's parents and brother were at their house earlier in the day, so she asked Kyle if he could leave her a key. A few hours later, Ashley finds out he "forgot". Her Dad, who was in on the surprise, tries all he can to restrain and distract Ashley in the afternoon. When Ashley gets to their house, she had her hands full and couldn't open the front door very well. After knocking a few times, assuming Jordan would help her open it, he wouldn't. When Ashley finally opened the door, she could see rose petals and candles lighting up their foyer. As she starts to cry, she asks "what is going on?!" quickly realizing...... WHAT WAS ACTUALLY HAPPENING! She sees Jordan waiting for her, dressed so handsome, with their home full of rose petals, candles and flowers. She was in complete shock and still could not believe it. After several minutes of his sweet words and tears Ashley said YES! With the help of his family, Jordan had planned for their closest family and friends to come over and celebrate. It was a beautiful evening!
