Finally!

Seth and Sam met in a class at Fresno Pacific University. They both noticed each other the second week (he wasn’t there the first week). The next time he saw her, he asked for her number and set up a time for them to do “homework” together. “Homework” turned into a very long conversation that they both enjoyed. Each saw something special in the other. They both were attracted to each other's eyes, intentional listening skills (even though he is hard of hearing lol), sense of adventure, and love for God. After that day, their talks after class grew longer and longer, but their relationship was never anything more. One weekend while she was away at a water polo tournament, he sent her a good luck text. Two of her best friends/teammates convinced her to send the link to her games. She wanted to impress him and ended up scoring seven goals in her first game. Sending him this link changed the whole dynamic of their relationship. They began texting and learning more and more about each other. Since then, they have never gone a day without talking. After she came back from the tournament, they began spending time together outside of class. They would have game nights with friends, competitions in everything they could, “homework” dates, and more conversations. Eventually he told her that he liked her, kissed her, and the rest is history :)

Seth and Sam had spent the prior two months reading the Bible and praying six nights a week in the chapel at Fresno Pacific University. Around the same time they began to meet at the chapel, he bought the ring and was deciding on how to propose. He was trying to surprise her, but it was difficult because she was expecting him to pop the question. He realized the only way he could surprise her was by proposing in the chapel. Because praying is a very special and important part of their relationship, he wanted their friends and family to be there to pray over them after he proposed. He put a lot of work into the surprise, and she did not make it easy on him. He thought of every little thing including changing contact names in his and her friend's phones. The day of the proposal, she woke up feeling that it was going to be that day. Two of her best friends were acting suspicious that whole week. She did her nails and got all dressed up for the day. By the time she finally saw him, he was acting completely normal. When she realized he was not nervous at all, she changed her mind completely. She changed out of her nice dress into some comfy clothes, and they went over to his parents house for a game night. Later in the evening, they left the house to go to the chapel like they do every night. She had no idea what was about to happen. When they walked into the chapel, she was completely shocked by what she saw. There were lights hanging up, flowers and candles on the ground, and signs with scripture on it. By the time she realized what was going on, he was down on one knee asking her to marry him. She of course said yes! They celebrated together, and then he surprised her again by bringing in their friends and family. They hugged them, congratulated them, and they prayed over them and their relationship. It was the most beautiful moment. The perfect proposal.
