We met in July of 2014 at Bobby's Place, a bar on Washington Ave. in St. Louis, where we bonded over his friend's failed pick-up lines and 40-oz. cans of beer, a Bobby's staple. In March 2016, Jordan moved to Los Angeles for a job with the LA Clippers and Ron moved to Chicago for a new career opportunity. After months of long-distance dating and two Chicago winters, Ron moved to LA in May of 2017. On February 5, 2022, we took a drive from our house in Orange County to Mt. Wilson to, as Ron explained, show our friend Andrew our favorite getaway just outside of LA. At the top of the peak with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and overlooking the LA skyline, Ron dropped to one knee and asked Jordan to marry him. That night, we celebrated our engagement with friends and coworkers at a brewery just blocks from the first apartment we shared together and finished the evening with a celebratory dinner at Felix in Venice, our favorite restaurant in the world. Not ones for pomp and circumstance, we exchanged vows in a small ceremony with our immediately family on September 22, 2022 at the Laguna Hills Civic Center. It was truly the most perfect day and very "us" - we're so happy with how everything came together. And now, we can't wait to celebrate our love story and one year of marriage with our extended family and friends back in the city where we met!
