We're Getting Married!

Marcus Gleaves Jr. and Jordann Quest Boyd’s story began at Wayne State University, where an unexpected compliment would set the stage for their unforgettable journey. Marcus noticed Jordann’s radiant skin and, with a charming smile, told her just how beautiful it was. He then smoothly asked if they could play iMessage games, which led to him getting her number. After a few fun conversations, Marcus invited Jordann to grab a milkshake, and that marked the beginning of their incredible love story. On October 10th, 2017, their first date took them to Coldstone Creamery and the Ford-Wyoming Drive-In. What started as a simple date quickly grew into something deeper, as they both realized that the connection they had was one they wanted to nurture for a lifetime. Through many dates, life-changing experiences, healing, and even the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, their love blossomed into something more beautiful than words can describe. During the quiet moments when the world was on pause, they grew even closer, finding strength and love in each other. In 2022, they took their first trip to Las Vegas for Jordann’s birthday. The destination was a toss-up between California and Las Vegas, so they left it to fate and flipped a coin. Although the coin landed on California, Jordann’s gut told her they should go to Las Vegas. Trusting that intuition, they traveled to the city of lights—and it was there that they realized Las Vegas would always be their favorite travel destination. Since that magical trip, they’ve returned to Las Vegas eight times. Their friends now lovingly call it their second home, a place where memories are made and where their love continues to grow. On October 14th, 2023, Marcus proposed to Jordann, asking her to spend forever with him, and of course she said, yes! October has always been a special month for them—it’s when they had their first date, when they take their yearly anniversary trip to Las Vegas, and now, it will be the month they marry. They’ve chosen October 4th, 2025, as their wedding day, knowing that it’s the perfect way to celebrate their love in a place that holds so many beautiful memories. It’s no surprise that when it came time to plan their wedding, Las Vegas was the only place that felt right. They knew they had to share this special moment with their closest family and friends in the city that meant so much to them. They are so excited to celebrate their love in Las Vegas, surrounded by those who mean the most to them!
