We met in Summer of 2017 while working as Lifeguards at Aquatica in Orlando. Jordan actually walked past Lauren while she was helping some lost kids, and then decided to turn back around to offer to help her. From this moment forward we were work friends for the rest of the summer. When summer came to an end we both went our separate ways, Lauren to Gainesville and Jordan to Minnesota, until we reconnected in November of 2017 and officially started dating. We then spend the better half of the next 3.5 years doing long distance between Gainesville and Orlando, and for a short time Gainesville to Delaware. We always both agreed that the hardships that came with having a long distance relationship were well worth it to be with each other in the end! Here we are now over four years later, engaged and so ready to be married and never spend long periods of time apart again! The Lord has shown up in tremendous ways throughout our entire relationship. From the first spiritual conversation we had, when we both shared that our favorite passage of Scripture that had supported us through the most challenging times of our lives was Psalm 23, we knew that the Lord had created us to be with each other. We have both seen incredible individual spiritual growth in our own lives over the past four years, which has allowed us to grow closer together than we could have ever predicted that first day we met at the edge of Roa's Rapids (#iykyk). We cannot wait to step into the marriage covenant just as the Church and Christ will one day as well, and we wouldn't want to do it any other way than in front of all of our closest family and friends who have supported us through the ups and downs over the past four years.
