We both were kind of over online dating when we found each other. When we matched, Jason broke the ice by sending a message that said “Well god bless America, it’s a match!!!”. This made me laugh and a conversation ensued. At that time on whatever dating app it was, it would show you how many mutual friends you had on Facebook. So when we got around to our first date I asked, “How on earth do we have 63 mutual friends and we don’t know each other?!” To which Jason responded, “well, I knew who you were. You used to come out dancing when I was DJing.” But went on to explain he never talked to me because he knew I was already in a relationship. Sure enough, I had seen him DJ plenty of times, but we had never spoken. Our first date was brunch at Rooster followed by the Soulard Pet Parade. We were instantly at ease with one another and didn’t want it to end. So we agreed to meet up later that night when Jason made me dinner. We have been inseparable ever since. XOXO
