Wade and I met in 2015 at Paisley Middle School in our 7th grade science class. We had many mutual friends and became friends throughout the year. Even though I was "middle school dating" a friend of his, Wade tells me he liked me long before he asked me out in the seventh grade. At the time, I said no, but not long after that I began to realize I really liked this cute curly-headed boy. But, I was always too afraid to tell anyone my feelings. All of our friends, however, were relentless in telling us that we should start dating and the nickname "Jade" was commonplace. Fast-forward to our sophomore year of high school, we decided to begin dating at the top of the Ferris wheel at the Carolina Classic Fair. The rest is history!
In August, we took a trip to Glacier National Park, Montana. The second night we were there, Wade and I decided we wanted to hike a part of the Danny On trail that was close to our apartment to see the sunrise the next morning. Without me knowing, Wade and Faith woke up around 4 in the morning and hiked up to find the right overlook to ask me. While Faith stayed on the mountain, Wade ran down the mountain to wake me up around 5:15am so we could "see the sunrise." When we got to the overlook, where Faith was hiding behind a bush to take pictures, Wade had me close my eyes and he led me out to the middle of the clearing. After admiring the view for a few moments, Wade got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was so surprised! I said yes and we spent the rest of our trip celebrating and sight-seeing! It was the best trip I've taken yet. We're so excited to for you to join us on our day! See you soon!
