The dress code is black-tie preferred. We will be both indoors and outdoors on grass, so please keep this in mind when selecting shoes.
Please refer to your invitation for this information. If your invitation is addressed to "and Guest", you may bring a plus one.
Ipswich, MA is a very old, historic town with unfortunately not a lot nearby. If you’d like to get as close as possible to Crane Estate, we recommend looking into AirBnB’s in the area. Otherwise, there are several surrounding towns about a half hour from Crane Estate with plenty of inns and hotels. Some of these include Amesbury, Newburyport (one of our favorites!), Salisbury, and Gloucester. Danvers, Peabody, and Salem are also about a half hour away from Crane Estate and sit between Boston and Ipswich. For anyone looking to stay in the city, Boston is located about 1 hour from Crane Estate. Check out our Travel page for recommendations and hotel blocks!
Black Tie attire traditionally refers to floor length gowns and tuxedos. However, we just ask for our guests to look as formal as is possible/reasonable for them. For most men wondering, a dinner jacket or formal suit is perfectly acceptable. Dresses can be any length as long as they are formal (a step above cocktail attire). This also indicates formal shoes.
