Matron of Honor
Maddie and I met Freshman year at APU, but didn't become close until we lived together in Ecuador during our Sophomore year. We later became roommates during senior year. Maddie is an inspiration to me and a treasured friend. She's genuinely kind, passionate about caring for others, honest, and creative. She's the one I can always count on to challenge and encourage me, and to share laughs with over cups of coffee. She also helped give me solid dating (and marriage) advice and witnessed Tim and I's relationship grow!
Best Man
Sharing a bunk bed for most of college fosters a very special bond. Jensen has been my closest friend ever since we studied in Yosemite for APU's High Sierra semester. We have shared mundane moments such as studying late into the night and more adventurous ones too - like backpacking up Mt. Baldy. He loves to garnish most dishes with peanuts and stomp his foot when he's in a dancing mood. He is a wonderful listener and calming presence. Most of all, he has been a steady, and always present, friend.
Bridesmaid
Amanda is my younger sister and forever friend all in one. She's full of bright, bubbly energy and her smile is contagious. I can always count on her to go thrifting and give me fashion advice, jam out to Taylor Swift in the car, or help me make (or rather eat) cookies. Though we may have had our sister struggles (aka sharing a bathroom), I'm extremely lucky to have a sister like her. She inspires me with the way she cares about and listens to others.
Groomsman
Over the course of getting to know Jackson, I have discovered he is devoted to Dave Ramsey (and will only pay in cash) and loves the Toronto Maple Leafs. But besides these things, Jackson is also welcoming and fun. I have enjoyed the variety of serious fireside conversations and heated family game nights with him. Having him as my future brother-in-law makes me eagerly anticipate more moments like these.
Bridesmaid
Lindsay and I go way back to 2nd grade in Kansas where we met at our church's youth group. From getting poison ivy together to wearing matching one piece's at summer camp, Lindsay and I share a special bond like no other. Though I (sadly) don't get to see her often since I moved to California, we remained close and connected. She is deeply loyal, wise, funny, and a great listener. An extra fun bonus is that we both are getting married this year!
Groomsman
Tayo and I first met unexpectedly in my sister's apartment, but I soon learned about our mutual interest in cooking/food. From there we made our best attempts to cook fancy French recipes, such as Coq Au Vin (translated as "cook with wine"), and made extensive plans to try some of LA's most renowned restaurants. Over the course of our friendship, I have been most appreciative of his thoughtfulness and intentional questions.
Bridesmaid
Megan is my best friend from high school. She helped me study and survive classes, but more than that, she became my first close friend after moving to CA and not knowing anyone. She is goofy, smart, compassionate, and kind, and we share many of the same interests. She's always up for an adventure and we have traveled together along the Oregon/California coast, and she even stayed with me at my Grandparent's home in Cape Cod one summer. I know Megan is a lifelong friend.
Groomsman
My brother has been with me since Day 1. If you know us well, you may agree that we are quite different. He joined a fraternity while I went to a Christian college; he is a night-owl and I am an early riser; he likes the city whereas I am drawn to the outdoors. But despite these differences and our petty quarrels as kids, I know he is diligent, humble, and a jokester at heart. He is through and through my brother (but for the record he is undoubtedly my little brother).
Bridesmaid
Charis is not only my future sister-in-law, but also a kind friend. We've shared sweet memories together from brunch dates, hikes, and traveling to Northern California. She is gentle and kind, a great listener, and super stylish/artistic. I know Charis will be a fantastic sister-in-law because I can trust her. Plus she can share entertaining stories of Tim from their childhood so that's an added bonus.
Groomsman
Kevin has seen me grow up from a toddler into who I am today. Having attended the same church for most of my life, we played basketball after service and traveled to Mexico for mission trips. Kevin has been like the older brother I never had. He is a close friend and mentor, offering well-timed encouragements in times of uncertainty.
