Our Story

Jordan and Tathan technically go way back… but not in the way you might expect. They first crossed paths in the racing world when Jordan’s dad started traveling to Kansas to race in the Summer of 2016. Tathan noticed Jordan right away and, being persistent, decided to shoot his shot. Multiple times. Jordan, however, wasn’t quite convinced and politely turned him down again… and again. Fast forward to May 2023, when Tathan decided to give it one more try—this time sliding into Jordan’s Instagram DMs. Apparently persistence really does pay off, because this time Jordan finally gave him a chance. What started as a long-overdue conversation quickly turned into something much more. Between shared laughs, time at the track, and getting to know each other beyond racing, it didn’t take long for them to realize this might have been worth the wait after all.

Our Proposal

Life moved pretty quickly - In April 2025, Jordan and Tathan welcomed their daughter, Braelyn, and by June they were settling into their first home together. On the Fourth of July, Tathan invited friends over for what Jordan thought was just a casual cookout. Jordan spent the entire day doing what any good host would do—cleaning, cooking, and running around making sure everything was ready for guests. Meanwhile, Tathan had the ring in his pocket the entire day, waiting for the right moment to propose. Every time he tried to get Jordan to slow down for a second, she would run off to finish another task. Then the first guests started showing up… and he still hadn’t proposed. In a moment of quick thinking (and mild panic), Tathan told the guests to drive around the block for a few minutes while he tried again. Finally, he managed to get Jordan to stop long enough to get down on one knee. He didn’t even fully get the question out before Jordan—completely surprised and excited—said yes! Turning what Jordan thought was just a cookout into a surprise engagement celebration with friends. After seven years of persistence, an Instagram DM, and one chaotic Fourth of July… Jordan finally said yes.
